Find your sound

Open Sounds and choose a connection, disconnection or arrival sound. Preview before selecting. Setting a sound and creating custom sounds require Premium. Supported imports are MP3, M4A and WAV, up to 30 seconds and 20 MB.

Give it a trigger

Open Apple Shortcuts, choose Automation, and add a CarPlay trigger. Select Is Connected or Is Disconnected, then add the corresponding Studio sound action. Use the execution options offered by iOS. The app’s How to Activate guide walks through the steps.

A separate welcome home

An Arrive automation uses the location you choose in Shortcuts and the Play Arrive Home Sound action. Arrival does not prove that a car is parked. Review the system’s execution and confirmation options.

Test before the journey

Check the automation while parked. Permissions, the phone’s lock state, other audio, calls and the selected output can affect playback. Selecting a sound in Studio does not automatically create an automation.
